Daniel Johnston and friends (from Yo La Tengo, Sparklehorse, Teenage Fanclub and Half Japanese), some of which he has worked with in the past, are embarking on the first leg of their Western European tour through the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and France. I find it pretty amazing that generation after generation continue to embrace him, making his music not only relevant but fantastically and constantly evolving. For someone who has written so many songs, he really deserves a talented band backing him up. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend renting The Devil and Daniel Johnston. Simply incredible.
