Obama has chosen Delaware senator Joe Biden as his running mate for the 2008 presidential race. Possibly a good choice, since Biden has far more foreign policy experience than Obama, therefore evening out the playing field for the Dem team. However, if the democratic nominee wishes to continue with this theme of CHANGE, choosing an elderly white male senator who has been in the Senate since the 70s may not be the best choice. Add to the fact that Obama has been making some serious mistakes lately (appearing at the church event in Orange County, for example, which did NOTHING for him) and that Biden is known for being someone who speaks his mind, and we've got a potential disaster on our hands. The media is painting him as a "loose cannon" figure, someone who could go off at the drop of a hat. Let's hope this doesn't prove to be the case.
