On Monitorial Citizenship
One of the individuals in the online discussion for my Understanding Media Studies course brought my attention to this website, WeFeelFine.org, which I found to be an utterly amazing and beautifully constructed experiment on current human emotion as it is expressed on weblogs. This site was constructed by Brooklyn-based designers as a way to connect with, in a way, an instantaneous Zeitgeist (well, Zeitdiagnose [a grasping of a present thought] would really be more appropriate), a way to access and then assess how the population of bloggers are feeling in a given year, in a given city, even as specific as how members of a specific age and sex are expressing emotion. Plus, it's got the added bonus of being aesthetically pleasing.

You are right that it is beautifully presented. It took me a while to figure it out, but it is so much fun to look at that I didn't mind at all.
